A Late Splash of Summer

MERCURY’S FALL DOESN’T MEAN HIGH-SEASON TINTS MUST FADE

As temperatures begin to drop with the leaves, most golfers aren’t ready to put away their sticks. Fall can be one of the most comfortable and beautiful seasons for golf, but it can be difficult to dress for the changing and unpredictable weather. So put away your summer shirts and shorts and grab some new clothes for fall.

There seems to be two distinct looks for this season: the bright and colorful summer’s-not-over look and the more traditional deeper hues and classic outfits.  Feminine is in, however, and with lots of skirts and fitted turtlenecks, women have never looked better on the links than they will this season.

Layering is the key to the fall weather. Cooler mornings and warming afternoons can leave players either too warm or too cold. So packing a variety of layers in your golf bag may be the way to go...

SwingChick Golf, whose slogan is, “Being one of the boys doesn’t mean you have to dress like them” proves to be truly feminine this fall with its new “Caitlin” Boardskort, made from Quick Dry fabrics. The skirt is a comfortable option for warmer fall afternoons and it’s practical too with a large, hidden front pocket.  SwingChick’s Soft Turtleneck, left, is a perfect base layer for cooler days, but SwingChick also provides heavier fabrics. Their long pants which are a cotton-spandex blend are hemmed with the signature SwingChick tropical print, adding a touch of color to an otherwise traditional pant. www.swingchick.com...
